The Olympic Games in Paris broke the record for sold tickets, the organizers announced on Sunday, quoted by Reuters. The previous record was held by the 2021 London Olympics.
In total, a record 12 million tickets were sold in Paris for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, according to organizers.
About 9.5 million tickets have been sold for the Olympics and 2.5 million for the Paralympics, which end on Sunday.
In 2012, London organizers set the record for the Paralympic Games with 2.7 million tickets sold, but only 8.2 million were sold for the Olympic Games.
