The dressage team led by the new German record Olympic champion Isabell Werth has won gold for the third time in a row after Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2021.
In the Grand Prix Special, Frederic Wandres with Bluetooth, Isabell Werth with Wendy and Jessica von Bredow-Werndl with Dalera narrowly won ahead of Denmark and Great Britain.
With her eighth Olympic victory, Werth joined former canoeist Birgit Fischer at the top of the all-time rankings.
For the German riders, it is the second gold in Paris after Michael Jung’s Olympic victory in eventing, and the fourth overall for Team D.
