Red Dead Redemption comes to PC this month

Years, many years of rumors about the hypothetical arrival of Red Dead Redemption to PC, and finally, today what many expected is confirmed. Following the leak we revealed a few weeks ago, which suggested a PC version of the iconic Rockstar Games title, we now know that October 29, 2024 will be the day that Red Dead Redemption, along with the Undead Nightmare expansion, will arrive on PCspecifically on Steam, Epic Games Store and the Rockstar Store. This news marks the end of a decade of waiting.

Previous leaks, fueled by dataminers and community users, reached their peak a few weeks ago, when files were discovered in digital distribution systems that pointed towards an imminent arrival of the game on PC. Although at that time there was nothing concrete or officially announced, the information was convincing enough enough to leave us with few doubts about what has finally been confirmed in today’s announcement.

On the plus side, Rockstar hasn’t just released a basic adaptation of the 2010 classic. Red Dead Redemption for PC will arrive with a number of significant improvements, such as native 4K resolutionmonitor support ultrawide y super ultrawide, HDR10full keyboard and mouse support, as well as performance-enhancing technologies such as NVIDIA DLSS 3.7 y AMD FSR 3.0. Additionally, the game has been optimized to take advantage of the capabilities of current systems, ensuring smooth performance. All this has been possible thanks to Rockstar’s collaboration with the Double Eleven studio.

Another good news, as I indicated at the beginning, is that Red Dead Redemption does not come alone, Also includes the Undead Nightmare expansionwhich offers a completely different gaming experience, with John Marston facing off against hordes of zombies in an apocalyptic Wild West

Now, of course, we find ourselves with two big doubts about this imminent launch. On the one hand, we can’t help but wonder about the priceand Rockstar already aimed very high in this sense with that accumulation of errors that was the launch version of the GTA trilogy. And the other, of course, is also related to the size of the fiasco. Have they been more careful this time? I want to think that what happened at that moment would mean a hard but effective learning experience, although in this case I am clear that, even if a very, very competitive offer was enabled for its pre-purchase, I would not jump into the pool in any way.
