Redmagic 10 Pro: Unusual smartphone comes to Germany

New smartphone

Redmagic has introduced the Redmagic 10 Pro – a very well-equipped gaming smartphone with an unusual design.

Redmagic is a smartphone provider that is still relatively unknown in Germany. The brand belongs to the Chinese group Nubia Technology and was introduced as a gaming brand. Smartphones with a corresponding focus on games have been released under the label since 2016. And the Redmagic 10 Pro is now completely new, which is now being sold in China and is scheduled to launch globally from December 18th.

The Redmagic 10 Pro is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite and RedCore 3 chips. Games, apps, photos and videos are displayed on a 6.85-inch FHD+ display at 144 Hz. The peak brightness is 2,000 nits. To ensure that the smartphone lasts as long as possible, a 7,050 mAh battery is installed and to ensure that the device stays as “cool” as possible, they invested in a special cooling system called “Advanced ICE X” and, among other things, with liquid metal and a real 23,000 RPM mini turbo fan works. However, the maximum volume should only be 4 dB. So the fan is not audible.

The design looks unusual and, similar to the Nothing Phone (2a), has a partially transparent back and RGB lighting. The operating system used is Redmagic OS 10.0, which is technically based on Android 14.

In China, the Redmagic 10 Pro is available for around 650 euros with 12 GB + 256 GB. With 12 GB and 512 GB, the device costs around 720 euros. If you choose the version with 16 GB + 512 GB or 24 GB + 1 TB, you will get the device described as Redmagic 10 Pro+ for around 780 euros or around 980 euros. There will also be an X Golden Saga Edition, which will cost around 1,300 euros. In return you will probably get a device made of higher quality material.
