When it comes to gaming smartphones, Nubia’s sub-brand Redmagic is a specialist for Android-based models that aim to score points with a lot of technology. After the Redmagic 9 Pro, the manufacturer has now introduced the 9S Pro version. We show all the details on technical data, price and promotions in the following overview.
Redmagic 9S Pro: Technical data at a glance
The Redmagic 9S Pro is a smartphone designed for gaming with a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen. The manufacturer specifies the resolution as 2,480 x 1,116 pixels and the refresh rate as 120 Hertz.
Inside, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is the current top CPU, flanked by twelve gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of internal capacity; an upgrade to 16 or 512 GB is also offered.
To avoid overheating under the peak loads that occur when playing video games, the Redmagic 9S Pro uses active and passive cooling systems. For gamers, shoulder buttons are also located at the top and bottom of the case.
When it comes to the camera, Nubia has adopted the dual system of its predecessor; the main and ultra-wide-angle lenses each have Samsung sensors with a resolution of 50 megapixels. The selfie camera, meanwhile, takes photos with a resolution of 16 megapixels. According to the manufacturer, the battery capacity is 6,500 mAh and should last up to two days with normal use.
Redmagic 9S Pro: Price and Release
From July 16, 2024, the Redmagic 9S Pro will be available on the official website The manufacturer has given a recommended retail price of 649 euros for the 256 GB version and 799 euros for the 512 GB version. Nubia plans to start the first, as yet unknown, early bird promotions from July 23rd. It will be available in stores from July 31st.
