OR Redmi decided to release a teaser for the upcoming K80 series showing its good performance on AnTuTu.
The company’s General Manager, Wang Teng Thomas, said during a live streaming that the Redmi K80 Pro will have a better specification configuration than its main competitor in China and a lower price than another competitor. Although they didn’t name the brands, there’s a good chance they’re talking about devices from Vivo (iQOO) and OnePlus.
Based on this, we expect the price of the Redmi K80 to be below 584 euros, the amount they are currently paying in China for the OnePlus 13. This is certainly possible, considering that the Redmi K70 Pro was priced at 426 euros at launch.
Teng also revealed the Redmi K80 Pro’s AnTuTu score compared to other phones in the same price range, which have not been named. Obviously, the K80 Pro has the highest score, although the differences are not that great.
The Redmi official did not reveal specific details about the specifications of the K80 series, however, based on previous reports, the Redmi K80 Pro should be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, while the regular model is rumored to pack a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.
Both phones are expected to feature large 6.67-inch displays with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Also, they could have a glass back and IP68 certification for protection against dust and water.
While the battery size is currently unknown, the K80 is rumored to support 90W wired charging and 30W wireless charging, while the Pro model could offer 120W wired charging support and 50W wireless charging.
Redmi has yet to confirm exactly when its new flagships will be unveiled, but both the K80 and K80 Pro are expected to go official sometime this month.
