Redmi Note 14: The series available in Europe – The features of all models

OR Xiaomi presented the series Redmi Note 14 in China at the end of September now the company has made a completely different set of Redmi Note 14 phones available in the European market.

This time there are five models and not three, as in the original series.

The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ it’s powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, which promises a bit of a performance boost over the Dimensity 7200 Ultra that the 13 Pro+ used. The phone is available in various configurations starting from 8/256GB. The top model has 12GB of RAM (LPDDR4X) and 512GB of storage (UFS 2.2).

The smartphone features a 6.67” curved OLED panel with a resolution of 1,220 x 2,712 px. It renders 12-bit colors with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support. It can reach 3,000 nits and uses 1,920 Hz PWM dimming. An upgrade this generation is the switch to Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The back uses either Gorilla Glass 7i (Frost Blue and Midnight Black) or vegan leather (Lavender Purple), depending on the color you choose.

Like last year, Xiaomi equipped the Pro+ with a 200MP camera. The 1/1.4” sensor uses 16-in-1 pixel binning and can offer 2x and 4x lossless zoom. The ultrawide camera remains at 8MP and there’s a 2MP macro unit to round out the system.

The selfie camera has been upgraded to a 20MP sensor and a wider lens. Dual Video mode allows you to record with the front and rear cameras at the same time.

The new model has a slightly larger battery than before with a capacity of 5,110 mAh from 5,000 mAh. Once again, the Pro+ is the only one that supports 120W fast charging. A 120W charger will be included in the box in some but not all regions.

The regular Pro model available in 4G and 5G versions. These use different chipsets, Helio G100 Ultra and Dimensity 7300 Ultra, respectively.

The Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G looks more like the Pro+. It uses the same 6.67” 1220p+ curved display with the same 20MP selfie camera. The IP68 rating is also the same. The 5,110mAh battery has the same capacity, although it only supports 45W charging.

The Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G also has a 6.67-inch curved OLED display, although this has a lower resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. It still uses Victus 2 glass, but the phone is only IP64 rated for splash protection. The screen has 10-bit colors and lacks Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support. Its maximum brightness is also lower, reaching only 1,800 nits.

The selfie camera has a 32MP sensor with the same wider 0.8x lens. Also, charging is the same at 45W, but the battery has a larger capacity of 5,500mAh.

To Redmi Note 14 it’s essentially the same as the Chinese version, with a major improvement in the camera department.

We also saw the introduction of an LTE-only version, which is a completely new device with a Helio chipset, a different design and camera system.

The international version runs on a Dimensity 7025 Ultra chipset, although it remains unclear how this chip is better than the regular 7025.

In front we have a 6.67″ AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution, a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a fingerprint scanner under the screen. The panel offers a maximum brightness of 2,100 nits and is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. There is a single hole for the 20 MP selfie camera.

On the back the Redmi Note 14 5G has a 108 MP main camera with OIS, a 1/1.67″ sensor with 0.64 µm pixels. There is also an 8 MP ultrawide camera and a 2 MP macro.

The Redmi Note 14 comes with a 5,110mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging. Xiaomi said there is a 45W PD charger in the box, but this does not apply to Europe, where it is banned.

The phone comes with HyperOS on top of Android 14 but the UI brings some AI features like AI Erase, AI Sky and AI Beautify, and the Gemini app is pre-installed for more creative AI features.

The Redmi Note 14 5G color options are Black, Purple and Coral Green. There are three memory variants – 6/128GB, 8/256GB and 12/512GB, but their availability depends on the market. Pricing will be announced soon.

The LTE variant of the Redmi Note 14 is definitely a downgrade in terms of performance. It is powered by the Helio G99 which is over 2.5 years old.

The cameras are also less impressive as Xiaomi has kept the 108MP primary camera with the 1/1.67″ sensor and 0.64µm pixels, but no OIS. There is also no ultrawide camera and the second camera is a 2 MP depth sensor. The third is a 2 MP macro. The front camera is the same 20 MP unit.

The Redmi Note 14 maintains the 6.67” AMOLED with Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz with Gorilla Glass. The panel offers a maximum brightness of 1,800 nits and is certified by TUV Rheinland for low blue light.
