Refly Febriansyah Wins Champion at South Borneo Rally 2024

DAPURPACUID – Refly Febriansyah and Fadli Dolding managed to win the third series of the 2024 South Borneo Rally racing event, in Binuang, South Kalimantan, 18-20 October.

The racer from the KFC-DMO Garage team who used a white Jeep Cherokee to take part in this round also emerged as the Overall Champion for Class J.

After receiving the trophy, Refly admitted that during the race which lasted for 3 days there were no problems with the car he was driving, until he managed to enter the finish line.

“Thank God, because of the team’s very thorough preparation in advance, during yesterday’s race there were no problems on the track, only the car died briefly when it was hit by a water splash,” he said.

According to the racer from Jakarta, in round 3 yesterday the racers faced two types of weather, namely rain on Friday and Saturday, which made the track very slippery, and scorching hot weather on Sunday.

Accompanied by his co-driver, Refly explained that the Binuang Rally this time was very exciting and adrenaline-pumping, because when it rained and the track was wet, many cars slipped and slipped on the track.

“Therefore, when it rains, I prefer to drive safely so as not to experience problems,” added Refly, in his official statement, Monday (21/10).

Before racing, said Refly, he admitted that he had prepared the car in very good condition and was ready to face the Binuang series, because on this track the car requires high speed.

“On the first and second days, with the track conditions being pouring with rain, I took safe steps when racing, not being reckless but not reducing the main goal of winning, which is definitely safer to drive the car.”

Refly also said that before racing there would of course be changes in several sectors, such as the suspension being more refined, then the gearbox being made even better.

This is because in the previous race there was a problem with the gearbox, as well as rechecking the entire car from the electricity to the engine. (dpid/TH)
