Refurbished Citroen C4 and Citroen C4 X

Along with the C5 Aircross Concept and new versions of the Ami, Citroen has another interesting premiere at the Paris Motor Show.

More precisely, the C4 hatchback (as well as the extended C4 X version) was significantly modernized in the middle of its life cycle, adopting a redesigned exterior, more comfortable seats and a digital instrument panel.

The C4 for the 2025 model year wears a redesigned face, with a slimmer split headlight arrangement. There is also a new oval Citroën emblem, tweaked bumpers, new LED taillights placed under an integrated rear spoiler, as well as different alloy wheels.

On the other hand, the longer and more aerodynamic tail of the C4 X version remains practically unchanged, except for the new Citroen markings.

Interior changes are limited to new Citroen Advanced Comfort seats with thicker foam padding and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster that joins a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen.

The trunk volume of the C4 hatchback is 380 liters, while the C4 X offers a 510-liter trunk.

The new C4 and C4X have up to 20 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), which use automated technologies such as sensors and cameras to improve road safety. There is also driver assistance on the highway. Combining adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning, this level 2 semi-autonomous driving system enables partially autonomous driving while maintaining driver alertness and control.

The powertrain range includes mild hybrid and fully electric options, as well as a SUS version (1.2 PureTech 130 EAT8) available in certain markets. The mild hybrid 1.2 liter turbo engine has 74 kW/100 hp or 100 kW/136 hp, with another 21 kW/29 hp from the electric motor mounted inside the six-speed automatic transmission.

The fully electric drives generate power of 136 hp and 156 hp, which is transmitted to the front wheels. The 50 kWh battery offers 355/360 km of WLTP range, while the larger 54 kWh battery is sufficient for 415/425 km of range depending on body type.

The renewed Citroen C4 and C4 X will arrive in European showrooms early next year, and prices will be announced closer to their market launch.
