Currently being piloted in Rouen, it allows for easy and free recycling of items that have become unusable from Relais Colis points, in partnership with the eco-organizations Refashion and Ecologic.

With its network of more than 9,000 collection points throughout France, Relais Colis is launching a new service for individuals: eco-collection. Initially, as a pilot project at all relays in Rouen and the surrounding area, this initiative makes it possible to easily and free of charge recycle items that have become unusable, without them polluting the environment.They will be supported by trusted partners:
- Refashion, the eco-organization approved by the State for the Clothing Textile, Household Linen and Footwear Sector.
- Ecologic, an eco-organization approved by the State to organize the national sector for the prevention and recycling of used Electrical and Electronic Equipment and sporting goods.
“In France in 2023, the Clothing Textile, Household Linen and Footwear Sector will have put 3.25 billion new items on the market. That’s nearly 12.2 kg of textiles and footwear per year and per inhabitant. Thanks to Relais Colis, we will be able to speed up collection processes and, above all, we will democratize recycling for many French people.” explains Virginie Marseille of Refashion.A great many used products clutter the cupboards and drawers of the French when they could have a useful and virtuous second life. Empty your cupboards
Indeed, Relais Colis, alongside Refashion and Ecologic, helps to declutter closets while acting for the planet. Together they are mobilizing to offer a free eco-collection service. Users will be able to drop off the following three categories of items:
- Sporting goods.
- Textiles (clothing, household linen) and shoes.
- Small electrical and electronic devices.
Relais Colis has above all chosen to offer an innovative process based on digital technology and its SMART paperless return innovation to ensure a simple and secure journey of the package to the appropriate eco-organization, without pillaging, mixing or degradation. To do this, simply go to the Relais Colis website under “eco-collection”, download the QR code of the category of products that you wish to recycle and present to the Relais by dropping off your package, with as many items as desired, in compliance with these few simple rules:
- Only one item category per package and adapted QR code
- The package must not exceed 20 kg and measure less than 1.70 m in length.
- Suitable packaging, without over-packaging.
Simple and free, the new service is being piloted with the Relais Colis in Rouen and the surrounding area, and is currently being analyzed for large-scale deployment.
