The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Évora does not agree with the release, decreed on Tuesday by the judge, of the singer Miguel Bravo, aged 21 – subject to going to the GNR twice a week, prohibited from contacting the victim, aged 13, from whom he demanded sexual photos and videos, and from using social networks, mobile phones and computers -, and will appeal. CM understands that the prosecutor points out the ineffectiveness due to the impossibility of guaranteeing compliance. The singer had been detained by the PJ.In the MP’s understanding, the only acceptable coercive measure would be preventive detention. The measures now applied to the artist do not guarantee that the criminal activity will cease, nor that the victim will be protected.
Miguel Bravo also saw one of the crimes he was suspected of being dropped and is now indicted for three crimes of child abuse and two of aggravated child pornography. The victim’s mother, who was asking for preventive detention, also finds Miguel Bravo’s freedom “revolting”. “I don’t want anything else, my only interest is to protect my daughter, nothing else”, she says. The shows that Miguel Bravo had scheduled are being cancelled by event organisers.
