Renault Embleme concept – Autoblog.gr

Renault wants to be carbon neutral in Europe by 2040 and worldwide 10 years later. To get there, he’s doubling down on battery-powered electric cars, while insisting there’s still a future for hydrogen cars. That’s why he shows us the Embleme concept, which, like the Honda CR-V e:FCEV, combines a hydrogen fuel cell with a rechargeable battery.

The model has a shooting brake design with increased ground clearance, having an aerodynamic coefficient of 0.25 Cd. It has a length of 4.8 meters, a height of 1.52 meters, a wheelbase of 2.9 meters and has two hydrogen tanks of 2.8 kg, which offer a range of 350 km. Within the city, the prototype moves purely electrically thanks to an NMC battery with a capacity of 40 kWh, which gives a range of 300 km.

The Renault Embleme concept is rear-wheel drive and features a 218-horsepower electric motor. It weighs 1,750 kg and thanks to Renault’s efforts, emissions have been reduced by 90% compared to cars of a similar size.
