At the Brussels Motor Show, Renault reveals the interior of the Twingo E-Tech electric prototype, a concept that previews the design approach for the future production vehicle, which is due to go on sale in 2026. True to the spirit of the first generation with its spacious and functional appearance , the interior reinvents the iconic features of the first Twingo.

We can see these referrals as soon as we take a look at the dashboard. The dashboard is airy, with a cylindrical shape, evoking the shapes of the 90s, the era in which the first generation Twingo was born. On it were mounted the digital dashboard with a diagonal of 7 inches and the central screen, intended for the multimedia system, which measures 10.1 inches diagonally.

The new electric Renault Twingo will be launched on the market next year. It will cost less than 20,000 euros

The upholstery of the electric Twingo E-Tech prototype is inspired by the colorful models of the first generation. It matches the exterior body color with subtle repeats on the front door panels and passenger-facing dashboard.

Considering that concept models are an opportunity to explore and test new ideas, Renault chose to experiment with new materials, so the floor of the vehicle is made of colored cork.

The car’s rear bench seat is split 50/50 and can be slid and folded as desired to maximize luggage space or optimize rear passenger legroom.

The Twingo E-Tech electric prototype is designed on the AmpR Small platform, which previews the future series vehicle that will reach the market in 2026. Developed by Ampere in just two years, with the aim of fitting in the entry price of up to 20,000 euros for a vehicle produced in Europe, the new generation Twingo is intended to be a future alternative for customers looking for a small, electric car to use in the city.
