Good news for Renault, its sales are stable in the middle of the year, driven by many new models.
Since the revelation of its new strategy in 2021, Renault has not been idle!
Renault is on top
And for good reason, the diamond-shaped manufacturer is continuing to release new products and continue to expand its range, with its Rafale, Scénic and other Symbioz to name a few. But it is obviously far from over, since Renault is also working on the launch of its new R5 E-Tech, highly anticipated by fans of the brand. And the least we can say is that the latter is doing particularly well at the moment. Indeed, the company has just announced a slight increase in its global sales for the first half of the year, with an increase of 1.9% compared to the previous year. Very good news for the former company, which is due in particular to the increase in its sales of hybrid models. Indeed, the latter now represent 29.6% of Renault sales in Europe. Among them, we can notably mention the Clio as well as the Captur and the Austral, which appeal mainly to customers, with registrations up 59.6% in one year.
Encouraging figures
With 1,154,700 vehicles sold in the first six months of the year, the French car manufacturer remains at a level comparable to that of the first halves of 2021 and 2023. Better still, its sales increased by 2% taking into account utility vehicles. But that’s not all, because Renault is also banking heavily on its new models, and in particular its electric cars. We can mention the Scénic and the R5 E-Tech, which should contribute to a significant increase in sales in this segment. On the other hand, Dacia, the low-cost subsidiary of the French group, posted a more modest increase of 4%, thanks in particular to its Sandero, which remains its best-seller at present, followed by the Duster and the electric Spring. The latter was however impacted by the removal of the ecological bonus of 4,000 euros in France, a measure which slowed down sales. Finally, in the premium segment, the Alpine brand achieved an exceptional performance in the first half of the year, with a 47.7% increase in registrations.
Renault is therefore starting the summer well and is continuing on a great momentum!
