Replacing speakers in MacBook Pro is now possible

Previously, when MacBook speakers failed, it was necessary to replace the entire upper part of the computer.

However, on the occasion of the premiere of new computers, it turned out that Apple had modified the repair system. In an internal memo sent to services, it was reported that the company is offering the speakers as stand-alone repair parts for the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M4, M4 Pro and M4 Max chips. Moreover, this change also applies to old models powered by Apple Silicone systems.

Users of these computers will also be able to replace them on their own. On the Apple website repair instructions have already appearedbut the speakers themselves should also be available soon.

At the moment, it is not known whether home users will be able to order speakers intended for older devices.

This change will reduce computer servicing costs in the event of post-warranty repairs.
