There have been reports online suggesting that Apple is working on its own network modules for a long time. The latest of these appeared on the pages of the Taiwanese portal DigiTimes.
According to the editors, the first devices featuring Apple’s proprietary modules will appear in the offer next year. The 5G network module is to be first in the iPhone SE 4th generation, which will probably debut in the first quarter of next year. After a few months, the company will also want to use them in some iPhone 17 series.
In the case of the Wi-Fi module, it is expected to hit at least one iPad model next year. The company is also considering the possibility of using them in some iPhone 18 series, which will be presented in the fall of 2026.
