Former New Future lawmaker Seol Hoon said on the 22nd that if Representative Lee is found guilty of violating the election law, he will have to pay 43.4 billion won in presidential election deposits, saying, “This is a trial for something he did while he was mayor of Seongnam,” and “The Democratic Party and It doesn’t matter. It makes no sense for the party to preserve this while he is being tried for something he did in his personal position. He emphasized, “It is appropriate for Lee Jae-myung to personally compensate.”
Former 5-term lawmaker Seol, who was the chairman of Lee Nak-yeon’s camp, said about the prospect of the teacher perjuring person in the first trial, “When deciding whether to arrest Representative Lee, the court cited the teacher perjury part when deciding on non-detention. He said, “Since it was admitted as a citation, the guilt is certain, and the question is how much punishment will be imposed,” and predicted, “I think it will be a form of imprisonment, not probation, but no arrest.”
When asked if Representative Lee should resign from his position if he is deprived of the right to run for election, former lawmaker Seol responded, “It is common sense to resign. “If we wait too long, we will end up harming the party,” he said, adding, “There are many people who can represent the party, and there are many ways to make the Democratic Party a good party,” and abandoned Representative Lee.
Former Rep. Seol, a member of New Future, asked about the existence of a non-partisan group within the Democratic Party, saying, “There is a social gathering of 40 to 50 people who were not nominated in the last general election. “We can all gather together when necessary, and we are still active,” he said.
He also criticized pro-Myung group lawmaker Choi Min-hee’s statement, “If the non-myung group moves, I will kill him,” saying, “I’m shocked that Choi Min-hee has changed so much,” and “I can’t help but think that she’s almost at the level of a gangster or a criminal.”
