RER B disrupted this Tuesday, two out of three trains on average

A strike notice has been filed for Tuesday, September 24 by the RATP unions to protest against the checks deemed inappropriate against drivers in cabins.

New disruptions for RER B users. Two out of three trains will run on average on Tuesday, September 24 on the RER B due to a strike notice filed by RATP unions, the transport company announced on Sunday, September 22. The strike is scheduled from September 23 at 11 p.m. to September 25 at 6 a.m., causing slowdowns on the 24th alone. The four unions (La base, CGT, FO and Unsa) specify on X protester “against inappropriate control and intervention procedures” carried out by security teams against drivers in cabins.

Reacting to this announcement, the RATP “expects disrupted traffic on RER line B with an average of 2 out of 3 trains”according to a statement released Sunday. “The interconnection will be maintained at Gare du Nord”, nerve center of the RER B and one of the main stations in Paris which serves as a connecting hub for many train lines, according to the same source.

The RER B is also the only direct rail link between Paris and France’s leading airport, Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle. This line, managed by both RATP and SNCF, which jointly operate the RER B, usually carries nearly a million passengers per day.
