The Association of Renewable Energy Sources of Serbia publishes a guidebook for investors entitled “RES Serbia Guidebook for Investors in Renewables in Serbia”, which was created with the technical support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The guide is intended for investors of RES projects, with the aim of providing an insight into the currently available information, with a focus on Serbian legislation, environmental protection, the procedure for issuing permits, sources of financing, as well as incentive systems.
The authors of the guide are Dr. Nenad Jovanović, senior consultant for energy modeling at Mott MacDonald and Predrag Vidaković, founder of the Vidaković law office.
During the finalization of this guide, of the four wind farm projects that were successful in the auctions, two have started construction and one has signed a financing agreement, while all the winners of the solar auctions have built their projects and put them into operation. Including currently operating plants, reaching the 1 GW mark in the near future seems possible, he said. RES Serbia.

The Association of RES Serbia thanks the EBRD for its support in creating this roadmap, which should point out to new investors the complexity of the development of RES projects in Serbia, help them understand regulations and procedures, as well as the need to look at market opportunities, the investment environment and complete regulations.
