Last weekend, rescuers responded to 18 challenges caused by storms in Läänemaa. Most of the time, it was trees that fell on roads and power lines.
On January 10, at 1:45 p.m., a bus with passengers drove into a ditch in Herjava village in Haapsalu. The bus sank into the snow on the side near the doors, and the passengers could no longer get out of the vehicle. The rescuers dug the snow from the doors and 11 passengers got out of the bus unharmed. Further transport was organized for people.
