According to the properly received requests in 2024, around 107 million dinars have been reserved for subsidizing electric vehicles, out of a total of 170 million dinars allocated to support the purchase of electric vehicles.
According to Irene Vujović, the Minister of Environmental Protection, in the current year funds have been reserved to support the purchase of 187 electric vehicles.
As she added, it shows that citizens, entrepreneurs and legal entities have recognized this measure and that they want to switch to an environmentally friendly mode of transport.
“Everyone who is interested in buying an electric vehicle should know that according to the Decree from the current year, another 63 million dinars are available for subsidies,” said the minister.
Minister Vujović pointed out that this measure can be an additional impulse for the domestic production of electric vehicles and an incentive for further demand for so-called ecological vehicles.
“When the new “Fiat Grand Panda” model is available on the market, from the Stellantis factory in Kragujevac, we will provide support for these vehicles as well. According to this year’s regulation, support in the amount of 5,000 euros is foreseen for electric cars,” Vujović said.
The right to a subsidy for the purchase of an electric vehicle can be exercised by natural persons, entrepreneurs and legal entities, and the estimated support amounts from 250 euros to 5,000 euros, depending on the type of vehicle.
Requests are submitted to the Ministry until the funds are used up, and no later than October 31, 2024.
