Retouched Vauxhall/Opel Mokka

Vauxhall has upgraded the interior of the Mokka (sold here under the Opel badge) as part of a light update to keep the model competitive with a number of new rivals in the segment.

Vauxhall Mokka

This crossover (in SUS and EV versions) is the brand’s second best-selling model (only the Corsa is ahead), but its sales have fallen by almost a third over the past year. That’s why the Mokka gets a facelifted interior for the new model year, including a redesigned center console, a new 10-inch digital driver display and a 10-inch infotainment screen.

The upgraded infotainment system features voice recognition, wireless smartphone mirroring and a 180-degree rear camera.

Also, some physical buttons have been removed and are now integrated into the screen. These include touchscreen shortcuts (such as maps and audio), as well as driving and parking assistance.

In addition, Vauxhall has equipped the crossover with a new flat-bottomed steering wheel similar to the Astra’s design.

Vauxhall has also slightly reworked the car’s exterior design, including bumpers and a new LED signature at the front and rear. The wheels for the electric version are also new.

Vauxhall now offers the Mokka in just three trims and two powertrains. This includes the Mokka Electric with 156 hp (54 kWh batteries, range of about 300 km) and the 1.2-liter gasoline engine in the Mokka Hybrid with 136 hp.

Prices will be announced later.
