Red Hook Studios recently announced that Darkest Dungeon II is preparing to return, this time for the Last Generation consoles.
With the Red Hook Studios seal of quality, Darkest Dungeon II will return soon for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch.
The game, which will be released on July 15th, features very peculiar gameplay and takes place in a very unique environment, which has led to it being very well received by the gaming community on Steam.
In a recent announcement, it was also revealed that along with the game, Xbox Series X owners will also have access to the DLC “The Binding Blade”.
Darkest Dungeon II invites players to embark on a thrilling quest across five distinct campaigns, known as “Confessions,” each featuring its own boss and unique gameplay mechanics.
This is a journey full of adventures, in which the player will have to form his party, equip his elements and venture into a decaying landscape full of dangers and enemies, in a final mission to prevent an apocalypse. The greatest dangers that the player will face may, however, come from within the group itself.
Players can choose from a total of 14 playable heroes for their adventures and will be able to have 10 different transport carriages, each with their own properties.
Each campaign lasts approximately 5 hours, and all the evolutions and improvements made will carry over to the next campaign. And these improvements also extend to the carriages themselves.
The game also features an Affinity system, that is, a system through which characters gain greater or lesser affinity with each other. And, of course... this can be both good and bad! But what's more! Each of the party members can become stressed and the player will have to know how to manage this, because a stressed fighter is always a sign of... disaster.
Each character has their own story and personal past, and as we delve deeper into the game's story, we discover more about each one. And that's why there are the Shrines of Reflection.
The ultimate goal is to find the origin of all the Evil that invades the earth and restore balance and well-being.
During the adventure, players will come across numerous obstacles that they may have to fight to continue. Combat is turn-based and the positioning of our party members will be of particular importance.
