Revealed how much Tom Cruise earned from the stunt at the closing of the OI
Last month, Tom Cruise jumped from the roof at the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris. Many thought that he was well paid for this performance, but he did it for free.
This was revealed by Casey Wasserman, president of the Organizing Committee of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
“He finished filming ‘Mission: Impossible’ at 6pm in London and immediately boarded the plane. He landed in Los Angeles at four o’clock in the morning and shot the scene where he gets into a military plane,” he said, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
He added that Tom was involved in every step of preparing this performance. They offered him the possibility to include a stuntman in the performance, but the actor wanted to do everything himself.
After jumping from the roof of the Stade de France, he took the Olympic flag from the mayor of Los Angeles, Keren Bass. After that, he drove through the streets of Paris and boarded a plane near the Eiffel Tower.
The actor has not yet spoken about his performance at the Olympics, but TMZ reported that he was the one who approached the organizers and expressed interest in participating in the closing ceremony.
