In the third quarter of 2024 Stellar scored a -27% in net revenueswhich fell from 45.1 billion euros in 2023 to 33 billion euros this year. Since the beginning of the year, the contraction has been 18%.
The cause of this slowdown is to be found above all in the decrease in cars delivered from Stellantis to its customers, fell in Q3 2024 to 1.14 million units compared to 1.42 million in Q3 2023 (-20%).
A difficult transition
Among the causes cited by Stellantis to justify the drop in deliveries are in particular the “ceased production of several models to start the transition of the product portfolio globally”, but also the “planned reduction of inventories in North America” and the “impacts deriving from a difficult European market context”.

In fact, we remind you that in this crisis transition phase Stellantis also decided to reorganize the management and confirmed the retirement of CEO Carlos Tavares.
North America and Europe in pain
However, if we look in detail at the delivery results by geographical area, we notice that Stellantis has suffered particularly in North America (-36%). Europe is also not doing well for Stellantis, down 17%, as are the Middle East and Africa as well as China, India and Asia Pacific, the latter region where the group now has an almost symbolic presence.
Suffice it to say that in the region that includes China, the Stellantis group delivered just 14,000 cars in the third quarter of 2024, or 0,2% of a market like the Chinese one which in the same three months saw sales exceed 6.6 million cars.
Region | Q3 2024 deliveries | Q3 2023 deliveries | Percentage change |
Nord America | 299.000 | 470.000 | -36% |
Europa | 496.000 | 599.000 | -17% |
Middle East and Africa | 78.000 | 105.000 | -26% |
Sud America | 259.000 | 227.000 | +14% |
China, India and Asia Pacific | 14.000 | 20.000 | -30% |
-60% for Maserati
Instead it is a real thud (-60%) that of Maserati which in Q3 2024 recorded just 2,100 deliveries worldwide compared to 5,300 units in Q3 2023.
The reasons given by Stellantis are the low sales volumes of the Grecale, the reduced demand for Western luxury cars in China and the exit of three models such as Ghibli, Levante and Quattroporte.
Stellantis news just arrived and coming soon
To recover, however, Stellantis is focusing on new high-volume models such as the Citroen C3 which has already received 50,000 orders, the C3 Aircross and the new Peugeot 3008 which has collected 75,000 orders.

Added to these are the arrival of the Leapmotor T03 and C10 (also range extenders from 2025) and the new B10, without forgetting the Fiat Grande Panda, the renewed Citroen C4 and C4 ‘America, the electric Dodge Charger Daytona, the all-electric Jeep Wagoneer S and the new electric Ram 1500 REV and Ram 1500 Ramcharger range extender.
