Review of two hyper-powerful UGREEN power banks. Charge smartphones in minutes

I already talked in a previous article about compact UGREEN solutions for comfortable wireless charging of smartphones. Of course, we were talking about portable batteries, without which it is now difficult to imagine our lives – any trip cannot be done without additional “energy backup”.

Overall, with the increase in time spent away from home and office, keeping devices in working order has become a top priority. And today I will tell you about two extremely interesting options from UGREEN.

These “banks” are aimed not only at keeping your smart device in perpetual working order, but also at doing it quickly. Really fast.

Let’s go.

Who are UGREEN

UGREEN is a Chinese company specializing in the production of accessories for equipment. Founded in 2012, the company quickly established itself as a reliable brand.

Their range includes chargers, cables, adapters, hubs, smartphone holders and other accessories designed to enhance the user experience.

UGREEN pays special attention to the quality of its devices, which is why it is loved by users around the world. This is not some no-name, but a long-known brand. UGREEN products are popular among both ordinary users and professionals due to their durability, functionality and modern design.

Such power cannot be achieved without wires

Today’s two options provide enormous power for charging devices: 100 W and 200 W. These are no longer magnetic options limited to a certain power, but ultra-fast charging for every day.

And this time I’m not offering you magnetic “cans” at all. Both new products benefit from their compactness and high mobility.

1. UGREEN Nexode Power Bank 100W

More powerful versions also come with a case.

The power bank is delivered in a standard cardboard box in the colors familiar to the brand: white and gray. Inside it we are greeted by the device itself, a short USB-C/USB-C cable, a short user manual and a warranty card. Nothing extra.

The gadget is made of brushed aluminumthanks to which fingerprints do not remain on the case. Plus, this way it retains its good appearance longer, as it is scratch-resistant.

The device itself is quite compact. It has dimensions of 45.5 x 46 x 115 mm and weighs 309 grams. This is a heavy power bank, but given its capabilities, the problem is quickly mitigated. The device easily fits into a jeans pocket and does not take up much space there.

The front panel houses a monochrome LCD display that shows the charge level. There are no indicator cells where you see only the approximate remaining energy, but a full screen displaying percentages. So you’ll know exactly how much charge is left.

There are rubberized feet on the back to help you place the powerbank neatly on any surface. It won’t slip.

The gadget is equipped with two ports:

USB-C: max. output 140 W / max. input 65 W
USB-A: 22.5 W (output)

In the first case, the available formats are 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/3A, 15V/3A, 20V/5A with a maximum output power of 100 W and modes: 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/3A, 15V/3A, 20V/3.25A with a maximum power of 65 W per input.

In the second case, we have access to 5V/3A, 9V/2A, 12V/1.5A, 10V/2.25A with a maximum power of 22.5 W.

Strict design emphasizes the premium quality of the device

Can be charged at the same time two external devices. However, there is a limitation: in this situation, the maximum power will be 10 W per port.

UGREEN Nexode is equipped with a 13-stage safety system that includes protection against overheating, extreme temperatures, overcurrent, short circuit, as well as input and output overvoltage and undervoltage. Additionally, the device is protected from overcharge and overdischarge, power overload and is equipped with an automatic circuit shutdown function with the ability to manually reset. So you don’t have to worry about safety.

The capacity of my power bank is 12,000 mAh. This is not very much, but noticeably more than the most compact batteries. At the same time, it still doesn’t take up much space.

This capacity was enough for me personally for two full recharges of the iPhone 15 Pro. One charge took about an hour (alas, but the iPhone cannot accept all 100 W). In fact, there is 6800 mAh for use here, as the manufacturer himself says on the packaging and the “can” itself. It’s worth taking this into account.

Overall, this is a great little power bank for most users.

Buy: approx. 6 thousand rubles (Promo code UG10PB gives $6 discount, valid until October 31)

2. UGREEN Nexode Power Bank 200W

And here is the same case-bag

This gadget not only has a more powerful battery and power, but it also has a more advanced display. I’ll tell you now.

The packaging is similar to the above model. However, there is a difference – in the box with this model there is corduroy bag for transportation. To be fair, the previous gadget also includes it, but not in the version with 100 W of power (there are also faster models of the same device).

In terms of design, everything is almost identical: a matte body made of fire-resistant material of class V-0, which does not collect fingerprints and is scratch-resistant, a 1.51″ TFT display on the front, a side power button and several charging ports.

Unlike the 100 W version, three ports are already installed here:

► USB-C1: max. output 140 W / max. input 65 W
► USB-C2: max. output 100 W / max. input 65 W
► USB-A: 22.5 W (output)

An impressive number of powerful charging ports

You may ask where then 200 Wabout which the manufacturer writes? The answer is quite simple: this is the total power when charging two gadgets at once via USB-C ports.

The “can” itself charges at a power of up to 65 W. That is, it is better to use an adapter from a MacBook with it to replenish energy in 2 hours.

The declared capacity of the device is 25,000 mAh (actual about 14,000 mAh). This is enough for 4.5 charging iPhone 15 Pro or 3 almost full charges of MacBook Air M2. Yes, you can easily charge your laptop from this device; fortunately, there is enough power reserve.

The power bank supports the same fast charging protocols, protection class and has the same certifications as the Nexode 100W. However, in terms of dimensions and weight, it is already noticeably larger (but still compact due to its design): 155x51x54 mm, 609 grams.

The display here is more advanced: The device shows the current output power per port and the approximate operating time remaining. Not just percentages, but the most complete information about your work.

Such a power bank will be enough for any task for quite a long time. It fully works out its value.

Buy: approx. 8 thousand rubles (Promo code UG10PB gives $6 discount, valid until October 31)

These two payment banks are worth paying attention to. They are produced by a company that has been proven over the years and are not that expensive.
