With its characteristic humor, current affairs and the informative rigor of each afternoon, ‘Everything is a Lie’ has achieved one of the best audience figures in its history.
Throughout these years, viewers have been informed about issues of great social relevance such as the DANA in Valencia, international conflicts such as the war in Ukraine or the Gaza conflict and the pandemic, among others. Besides, Every year the program offers more than 1,000 interviews from the political and social scene as relevant as Carlos Cuerpo, Óscar Puente or José Luis Ábalos.
After 1,500 programs, Risto reflects on the success of ‘Everything is a Lie’: “Really the one who decides that is the viewer. It is an independent program and we attack equally with the left and the right, and that is the key in a program that tries to politics. And then, thanks to the comedians, we use irony and sarcasm trying to make the viewer smile, and that is always appreciated,” he says.
Marta Flich couldn’t help but remember some of the most memorable moments during these years: “The interviewee’s earpiece fell off and I didn’t know how to fill in the silences,” she says. “On another occasion it happened to me that an interviewee had a very funny voice and everyone was laughing and I couldn’t laugh, I cried from laughter,” he explains.
