“We want this era to be remembered”

– I am glad that we are all here together, because of Partizan. Last season, when we came, our goal was the stability of the club and to try to win at least some trophy. We succeeded in that, and already this season we are attacking all domestic trophies, with the desire and goal of seeing Partizan in the Champions League by 2027. We haven’t made any plans on this topic yet, but remember we’ve set it as a goal. This black and white evening is an opportunity to unite even more, motivate and send a message that our wishes and ambitions are the most possible. And as the song says: “Our love is getting stronger and stronger and it grows day by day”, so our Board of Directors grows and strengthens. At today’s session, we got a new vice president, Mr. Zoran Baki Anđelković. Our team is getting better and better. We would not be able to do all this without the support of the state, our friends and sponsors. We are creating the preconditions for Partizan to make a breakthrough in terms of results in this and the following seasons and once again become a club with a serious international reputation, as it once was. We started by winning the Cup last season. Pehar arrived in Humska after more than a decade. We don’t want to stop there. We want this era to be remembered – said the president of the club, Miljan Žugić, and then called on the fans to support the black and whites in the Supercup match in Banja Luka on September 12.
In his address, Mr. Zoran Anđelković expressed his satisfaction that he became part of the club and thanked the members of the Board of Directors for the appointment.
– It is an honor for me to become the vice president of the club and I thank the people who chose me. The president of the club has given us some tasks, and it is up to us to help those tasks and titles come true. In this sense, I am deeply convinced that with your help we will succeed, because without you there is no energy. Together with you, the administration, the players and the professional staff, let’s achieve the desired results together, and the first result we need to achieve is Banjaluka on September 12 and 13. Long live Partizan!
Mr. Nedeljko Jovanović, officially the best player in the history of the Partizan handball club, addressed the attendees, who wished the black and whites to return to the paths of old glory.
– In my time, and after that when I went abroad, Partizan was the biggest and most important club in the country. After a difficult period for the club and 11 years of waiting for a trophy, this generation showed a certain talent, quality, fighting spirit and desire to win, which was a significant beginning, let’s hope, of a new successful era. The people who joined the club showed that they want to return Partizan to the old ways and I would really like that, with these reinforcements that have been brought in for the upcoming season, this team will continue to achieve lower success and become the national champion.
At the end of the introductory part of the evening, Mr. Ostoja Mijailović, president of JSD Partizan, gave a speech. He wished our club to continue, and called on the fans to support the black and white handball players, as they support the basketball club.
– It took eleven years to win the trophy. It is very difficult to last. You lose, you win, victories carry you forward, defeats bring you down, you fall, but you have to get up. First of all, to this team headed by coach Ćirković, president Žugić, all the people who are in the management, Mandić, Jovanović, Baki and everyone I know here, I want them to last above all. I want this project to last and whatever the results are, you have to last and always keep going, because that’s the most important thing in sports. This is my eighth season in the basketball club. There were very beautiful and successful ones, there were also very difficult ones, like the one behind us. As the president of JSD Partizan, I wish you good luck and successful work. You have the support of our sports club, headed by the entire Administration and the Assembly, as well as the brother basketball club Partizan. I promise that the whole basketball team will come to the derby in Banjica, with the whole team and coach Željko Obradović.

– Six weeks of hard work and eight friendly matches are behind us. We were playing with form, but we had to use that time to integrate nine new players. With the arrival of goalkeeper Said, we received an exceptional reinforcement and I am overjoyed that he agreed to come to us, because he is of top quality. I think it is clear that Partizan’s ambitions in all competitions are the highest possible. The situation is incomparably better compared to last season, when injuries were a huge problem for us. Now it is much better and easier, and when some minor injuries appear, the training process does not suffer. I am sure that at some point we will achieve what we set out to do – concluded coach Đorđe Ćirković.
Captain Nikola Zečević pointed out that he believes in his teammates and that this season will be memorable.
– With winning the Cup, the ambitions doubled. I am glad that the club managed to keep the backbone of the team from last season, along with the guys who came in the summer and for whom I have nothing but words of praise. First of all, they are great people, and then they are great teammates. You can expect four trophies from Partizan this season. Maybe that sounds strange to some, but the team is made to win trophies and we hope to make our fans happy again. The Super Cup match awaits us soon, immediately the fight for the trophy, but we are aware of how much we can do. We play for Partizan, the biggest club, and we have to get into every game as much as possible. I hope that the fans in Banja Luka will support us in large numbers, so let the season start with a trophy and let them follow us until we achieve our common goals. – said the captain.
MALI BOGDAN SPECIAL GUEST “BLACK AND WHITE EVENINGS”
This evening was special for our club, and we wanted it to remain in the memory of one boy forever. Little Bogdan Maksimović, a four-year-old suffering from cerebral palsy, was our special guest, together with his family. Throughout the evening, guests could make a voluntary monetary contribution, and the entire amount will go to Bogdan’s account in the “Start Life” foundation. Also, during the promotion of the team, the sale of photos on canvas was organized in the form of a humanitarian auction. The moment when captain Nikola Zečević lifts the Cup trophy was made on canvas, and the photo was sold for 130,000 dinars, which will be forwarded to Bogdan’s treatment.
