The National Road Infrastructure Administration Company (CNAIR) has made a last-minute announcement for drivers. Road traffic on an important route in the west of the country is temporarily closed.
The National Road Company informs drivers that traffic will be temporarily closed on a route in the west of the country.
The lockdown is in place from today and will be in place until near the end of the week.
CNAIR announcement: Road traffic on an important route is temporarily closed
CNAIR announced that, from Thursday, November 14, until Saturday, November 16, the suspension of traffic on a route in the west of the country.
„Traffic will be temporarily closed on the entry-exit ramps that ensure the connection with A1 (km.536+201), from the Timișoara-Arad direction of travel, through the Arad Sud road junction, with the turn on DN 69, km.46+ 115. Asphalting works will be carried out on the ring road from the roundabout on DN69 – km.46+115 in the vicinity of the Municipality of Arad“, states CNAIR.
The road traffic closure measure will be instituted only during the day.
How will traffic flow on this road sector?
During the night, traffic will be carried out under normal conditions, both on the shoulders of the road junction related to the highway, and on the DN69 sector in the roundabout area.
„During the validity period of the restriction, on the DN69 sector in the detour area from km. 46+115, road traffic will alternate on half of the ring road, directed by traffic controllers“, the Road Company also announces.
Also, in the shoulder area of the Arad Sud road junction, road traffic will proceed as follows:
- for motor vehicle drivers traveling on the Timișoara-Arad direction of the A1 highway, the exit to DN 69 will be ensured through the Arad, Zădăreni, Sânicolau Mare road junction → Ogorului str. (DJ682) → Calea Timișorii (DN 69);
- for drivers traveling on DN 69, in the Timișoara-Arad direction, the entrance to the A1 highway will be provided via Ogorului str. (DJ682) → Arad, Zădăreni, Sânicolau Mare road junction.
