Roadside assistance via satellite link in the UK

Last year, on the occasion of the premiere of the iPhone 15 series, Apple introduced a new service related to satellite communications. Unfortunately, this solution has so far only been available in the United States.

We’re talking about roadside assistance. The service uses Apple’s innovative satellite infrastructure to allow users to call for help if they have a problem with their car in an area without network coverage. However, from now on, this solution is also available in Great Britain and Green Flag is responsible for roadside assistance.

It is worth recalling that satellite connectivity is still available free of charge to users of Apple devices. At the moment, it is not known whether and when the company will introduce additional fees.
