Rob Halford believes that Judas Priest will record another album

Judas Priest he clearly has no plans to slow down. Rob Halford made it clear that the word “retirement” is not in his vocabulary right now, given that the band recently reissued their 1974 debut album, “Rock Roll”.

In an interview for Audio Ink Radio, Halford expressed the hope that Judas Priest to write and record a sequel to this year’s edition at some point „Invincible Shield„. Probably not any time soon, but hey – 20 albums is a respectable amount if a band actually makes it. And Halford clearly has such an intention.

“Well, that’s what we do,” he said Halford. “I think most bands will tell you that their relevance is based on the music they make and where they are as a band at that moment, and that’s always maintained by the new music you create. So, even though we haven’t stepped into that world yet, into that new musical dimension, I think it’s inevitable that there will be something more. When that will happen, I have no idea.”

He continued: “This band thrives because of the metal music we make, the time we spend together, because there’s a lot of love between us. We understand how important it is to have time for ourselves, to relax and be who we are outside the band, which is important in order to relax, take a deep breath, rest and prepare for the next metal attack. So, that’s what Priest works. Fifty years ago, we started with “Rocka Rolla”. Today, fifty years later, we have the “Invincible Shield”. So, obviously, at some point, there will be another album.”
