For several years, Amazon Prime Video offers an alternative vision of the superhero myth on television, built by Disney / Marvel and Warner / DC Comics. Both more violent and radical. On the occasion of a panel focused on Invincible At San Diego Comic Con (SDCC), showrunner Robert Kirkman made a revelation that we’re sure will delight many fans. According to him, “there were discussions” at Amazon Prime Video about a crossover between The Boys et Invincible aimed at reuniting Homelander and Omni-Man. While he assures that nothing is planned for the moment, these discussions seem to demonstrate the desire on the part of Amazon, Erik Kripke and Robert Kirkman to bring together these two characters who are as powerful as they are violent.
It is quite possible that the question of the format of this meeting (a film? a series? a special episode?) is a Chinese puzzle for Amazon Prime Video. How can we explain the reunion of these two characters who do not live in the same universe? Anyway, if such a baroque encounter took place, there is no doubt that the fans would be there, right?
