The new gadget comes with a robotic arm, which promises to open up a wide range of functions to users.
CES is buzzing, so we can expect more and more exciting announcements from the big tech manufacturers. Often we can only look at wild prototypes, but there are also plenty of products that are about to be released here.
Roborock, Xiaomi’s robot vacuum cleaner brand, came up with this, which was able to launch such quality products on the market that it even squeezed the market leader Roomba with them. The manufacturer has now packed a sci-fi accessory for its latest vacuum cleaner.
The gadget named Roborock Saros Z70 will be able to do everything its predecessors did. There are no complaints about its 22,000 Pa suction power, and thanks to the TOF sensors built into the series, it will probably get by with orientation as well. The robot gets a dock that can empty the dust container, clean and remove the mop sponge when the robot starts its journey in vacuuming mode only.
All of this is remarkable in itself, but what really sets the Z70 apart from the rest is the robot arm installed in the machine. It can move on 5 axes, and when not in use, it folds inside the vacuum cleaner. The manufacturer promises that thanks to the camera built into the arm, the machine will recognize socks, slippers, handkerchiefs and towels, the list of which items will be further expanded with firmware updates. In the application, the user can specify what the vacuum cleaner should do with the given objects, so the handkerchiefs are taken to the trash, while the slippers are put in the shoe closet.

Of course, no one should expect the vacuum cleaner to rearrange the room in your absence – the robotic arm gets by with objects weighing a maximum of 300 grams. The Roborock Saros Z70 will be in stores on February 10, so you don’t have to wait long to find out how well the tidy vacuum cleaner works. However, its price tag of 1,600 dollars, i.e. HUF 640,000, ensures that for the time being only the audience with a deep wallet, or perhaps an extreme fan of robot vacuum cleaners, can try it.
