The latest version of the powerful ROG Flow Z13 hybrid gaming tablet
At the technology exhibition CES 2025, which is held annually in Las Vegas, the Republic of Gamers (ROG) brand presented a new version of the ROG Flow Z13 tablet, intended primarily for gamers. It is actually a hybrid between a tablet and a gaming laptop that uses a 13.4-inch touch screen with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels, Mini LED technology and a refresh rate of 180 Hz. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, supports Dolby Vision technology, has 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut and a brightness of up to 500 nits.
The durable CNC-milled all-aluminum chassis houses AMD Strix Halo processors, including the AMD Ryzen AI Max 390 with 12 cores and 32 graphics cores and the extra powerful AMD Ryzen AI Max Plus 395 with 16 cores and 40 graphics cores. The Radeon 8060S integrated graphics, based on the RDNA 3.5 architecture, offers performance comparable to mid-range dedicated graphics cards.
The device supports up to 128 GB LPDDR5X RAM with a frequency of 8000 MHz and 1 TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD, which guarantees extremely fast response and plenty of storage space. The unified memory architecture allows lightning-fast access to both the CPU and GPU, so gamers can expect improved performance and responsiveness.
One of the key things for gaming devices, including tablets, is effective cooling. The Flow Z13 features an improved cooling system with a stainless steel vaporization chamber and dual Arc Flow fans with integrated dust filters.
2025 ROG Flow Z13 01 ROG Flow Z13 can be used as a tablet and as a laptop.
The tablet is equipped with two USB-C 4.0 ports with DisplayPort and Power Delivery support, one USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port, HDMI 2.1, a microSD card reader with UHS-II support and a combined 3.5 mm audio connector. Flow Z13 is also compatible with ROG XG Mobile external GPU dock.
The thickness of the tablet is approximately 13 mm and the weight is approximately 1.2 kg. A larger glass window on the back with RGB lighting provides a view of internal components, while a detachable keyboard with larger keys and 1.7 mm of travel together with a stand quickly turns it into a powerful laptop.
The price of the new version, which will come to the market later this year, is of course not yet known, but at least for illustration – the current one starts at around 1,700 euros.
