ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) unveiled a new line of gaming laptops at CES 2025 that introduces innovations in performance, cooling and design. Let’s take a closer look at what’s new with ROG this year.
In 2025, the entire ROG laptop line received a significant boost in power. The latest Intel Core Ultra processors, based on the Arrow Lake architecture, provide up to 20% higher performance compared to the previous generation. AMD is also not left behind, introducing Ryzen 7000HX series processors built on the Zen 5 architecture, offering up to 16 cores and 32 threads. Paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards based on the Blackwell architecture, ROG laptops deliver top performance in games and creative programs. RTX 50 series graphics cards support ray tracing and DLSS 4 technology, which translates into even more realistic graphics and higher frame rates.
Strix – the king of performance with a refreshed design
2025 ROG Strix laptops feature a bold, futuristic design with a distinctive, redesigned ROG logo. RGB lighting is now even more extensive and covers the entire keyboard, touchpad and a light strip surrounding the housing. Strix is the first gaming laptop with tool-free access to the interior, so users can easily open their devices to clean fans or add RAM and an additional SSD. All Strix models are equipped with displays with a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz and a response time of 3 ms, covering 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Additionally, thanks to the double-layer ACR foil on the display, they reduce reflections by 55% and increase the contrast by 4.5 times. Inside you will find up to 64 GB of DDR5 RAM and a PCIe 4.0 SSD with a capacity of up to 4 TB.
