Rolls-Royce Phantom Goldfinger: a unique example

The British manufacturer unveils the Rolls-Royce Phantom Goldfinger, a unique example to celebrate the anniversary of the 1964 James Bond film.

Unique and decidedly luxurious, this Rolls-Royce Phantom Goldfinger even carries a solid gold ingot!

A tribute to James Bond

The Rolls-Royce Phantom Goldfinger is based on a Phantom Extendedand makes homage to the 1964 James Bond film: Goldfinger. This is one of twelve appearances of Rolls-Royce vehicles in the 007 film franchise. Revealed on the 60th anniversary of the film, this unique example is inspired by the Phantom III Sedanca de Ville de 1937 belonging to the film’s villain, Auric Goldfinger.

Rolls-Royce Phantom Goldfinger: a unique and luxurious example

The Rolls-Royce Phantom Goldfinger sports a body color inspired by the 1937 Phantom from the film, with a two-tone livery combining black with yellow, combined with 21-inch black-painted wheels with chrome finishes. The “Spirit of Ecstasy” emblem on the hood was made of solid silver, and embellished with 18-carat gold-plated parts.
Inside, we find blue leather upholstery combined with royal walnut veneers, all decorated with numerous details finished with 18 or 24 carat goldsuch as on the base of the front and rear consoles, the interior of the glove box, the rear shelves in walnut, the door sill plates, the air vents and even the speaker bezels. The car’s identification plate is also made of 24-karat gold, and its serial number ends with “007.”
The most striking element inside this Rolls-Royce Phantom Goldfinger is the real carat solid gold bullion hidden in a slot in the central console, and which takes the form of a “Speedform” miniature of the Phantom.

Rolls-Royce has not revealed the price of this unique Phantom Goldfinger, but specifies that it has already been delivered to a major customer based in England. He also obtained the license plate “AU 1”in reference to that of the film Goldfinger, “Au” being the symbol for gold in the periodic table of elements.
