Rolls-Royce will make an investment of over £300 million to expand theGoodwood manufacturing plant. The news was announced in recent hours by the leaders of the English car manufacturer. This is a further step in the path undertaken by the brand to create added value to serve customers, with increasingly luxurious and personal cars, the result of more complex and exclusive artisanal processes.
The record performance achieved in 2024 by the Bespoke department, with a 10% progress in the value of the tailor-made contents of the “Spirit of Ecstasy”, endorses the goodness of this approach, which the managers want to carry forward with even greater determination.
The sum allocated to expand the company’s Goodwood site represents Rolls-Royce’s largest financial commitment to that location since the facility opened in 2003. It is, as the CEO says Chris Brownridgeof a commitment based on trust, for a solid future in the United Kingdom.
“Bespoke’s record results in 2024 – adds the CEO – demonstrate that our customers are increasingly attracted by the brand’s ability to create increasingly ambitious and precious cars, thus fully enjoying the exceptional and highly personalized experience offered by the purchase of one of our cars”.
The investment of over £300m will also prepare the Goodwood site for the ‘Spirit of Ecstasy’ transition to full electric cars. As we said, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ Bespoke offering reached record levels in 2024. The value of personalized content increased by an average of 10% per vehicle, year over year, reaching the highest level in company history.
This result has pushed the top management of the English car manufacturer to focus even more on creating value for customers through highly personalized products and experiences, which allow them to create a tailor-made car, perfectly suited to their tastes, without sparing any expense.
