Romanian Jewelry Week 2024 winners

Awards Romanian Jewelry Week were awarded on Wednesday, October 2, at the National Library of Romania, celebrating the most creative and innovative designers in the field of contemporary jewelry. The event, now in its impressive new edition, brought to the public more than 230 designers and collectives from 40 countries, highlighting the talent and innovation in this dynamic industry.

Romanian Jewelry Week is the largest contemporary jewelry event in Romania, annually bringing together creators of national and international renown. The 2024 edition, held at the National Library, offered the public engaging exhibitions, educational conferences and jewelery fairs, becoming a reference point for jewelery lovers and makers.

This year’s edition was marked by three special collaborations with Diploma Show 2024, the Goethe Institute, Malvensky Jewelery House and AlbAlb, bringing together designers and artists from various fields to explore the connection between jewellery, art and culture. The official partner of the event was Banca Transilvania, and the design of the exhibition was signed by Kaustik.

Romanian Jewelry Week 2024 proved to be a real success, gathering over 5000 visitors and setting new standards in the field of contemporary jewelry. The event is organized by the National Association of Contemporary Jewelry Authors and Designers and represents a unique platform for innovation, education and international exposure.

As part of the anniversary edition, it was also released catalogul Romanian Jewelry Weekwhich celebrates a retrospective of the most important international jewelry collections and provides a comprehensive x-ray of the field of contemporary jewelry globally. The catalog will be available online on the Romanian Jewelry Week website.

Winners of the Romanian Jewelry Week 2024 Awards

GRAND PRIZE ROMANIAN JEWELRY WEEK 2024 is granted to him Yoonjung Choi (Republic of Korea). His outstanding collection impressed with the exceptional combination of techniques, materials and concept in contemporary jewelry. His series, titled Breath Seriesexplores the shapes of the human body’s organs, such as the heart and lungs, capturing the cycle of life and breath.

Premiul Special Romanian Jewelry Week 2024 is awarded to Yuki Yoshioka, Willemien Bruwer and Ji Young Kim, following the selection of Romanian Jewelry Week 2024 jury member Charon Kransen.

Jewelry Museum Award The Ilias Lalaounis of Athens, Greece is awarded to Heather Blake and Alain Roggeman, following the selection of Romanian Jewelry Week 2024 jury member Byron Vafeiadis – Curator of Education and Collections at the Athens Jewelry Museum.

Premiul Legnica Silver Festival la Romanian Jewelry Week 2024 is awarded to Jiakun Zhang, following the selection of the Romanian Jewelry Week 2024 jury member, Justyna Teodorczyk – director of the Art Gallery in Legnica, Poland.

Premiul Special AdOC la Romanian Jewelry Week 2024 is awarded to Romana Mateiaș, following the selection of the Romanian Jewelry Week 2024 jury member, Magdalena Vélez Salinas – co-founder and president of the Association of Contemporary Jewelry and Joyería Designers, AdOC.

Inhorgenta Special Award at Romanian Jewelry Week 2024 is awarded to Coral Wanshan Huang, following the selection of the Romanian Jewelry Week 2024 jury member, Irina Probst – exhibition manager at Inhorgenta Munich.

Premiul Venice Design Week la Romanian Jewelry Week 2024 is awarded to Kinga Olah and Contemporia, following the selection of the Romanian Jewelry Week 2024 jury member, Lisa Balasso – design curator and founder of Venice Design Week.

Premiul Assamblage Contemporary Jewelry School la Romanian Jewelry Week 2024 is awarded to Gabriel Farrugia and Daniela Cățoi, following the Romanian Jewelry Week 2024 special selection, made by Andreia Gabriela Popescu – educational ambassador at Assamblage Contemporary Jewelry School and Romanian Jewelry Week.

Premiul Lost in Jewellery Magazine la Romanian Jewelry Week 2024 is awarded to Huda’s Jewelry, following the special selection Romanian Jewelry Week 2024, made by Lost in Jewelery Magazine.

Premiul Mydaybyday Gallery la Romanian Jewelry Week 2024 is awarded to the Cup of Rum collective, following the Romanian Jewelry Week 2024 special selection, made by Mydaybyday Gallery in Rome.

Atelierul Magazine Award at Romanian Jewelry Week 2024 is awarded to Yoonjung Choi, following the Romanian Jewelry Week 2024 special selection, made by Atelierul Magazine.

Premiul Brussels Jewellery Week la Romanian Jewelry Week 2024 is awarded to Yuki Yoshioka, following the Romanian Jewelry Week 2024 special selection, made by Brussels Jewelery Week.
