Romeo Ferraris’ Porsche 911 Turbo reaches 880 HP

50 years is a milestone to be celebrated with all the trappings. And so he did Romeo Ferraris thinking about Porsche 911 Turbothe supercharged version of the German sports car presented for the first time in 1973 at the Frankfurt Motor Show and then arriving in dealerships the following year.

The Opera company thus developed the special kit Velos – available as a single package or with individual components – with mechanical and aesthetic modifications. Thus was born an 880 HP Porsche 911 Turbo S. Here’s how.

More than anything

Romeo Ferraris’ engineers focused first of all on motor – the 3.8 boxer 6 cylinder – updated in different components such as electronics, larger turbines, exhaust and downpipe, new intercooler and carbon fiber intake system. Thus the aforementioned ones are reached 880 CV and 1,030 Nm of torquean increase of 230 hp and 230 Nm respectively compared to the standard Porsche 911 Turbo S. The performance data speaks for itself: maximum speed over 340 km/h and 0-100 km/h covered in just 2.5″.

All this is accompanied by changes to the structurewhich on Romeo Ferraris’ Velos kit features 4-way springs and shock absorbers adjustable in rebound and compression, with stainless steel uprights. Finally, Michelin Sport Cup 2 tires are included as standard, fitting rims with an exclusive design.

The Porsche 911 Turbo S from the Milanese preparer also differs from the “normal” version due to its dedicated aesthetics. New splitters, side skirts and redesigned air intakes are part of the package along with the bulk rear spoilerextractor and exhaust pipes. The interiors have also been updated in terms of color and finish. Tailor-made customizations are naturally available, following the customer’s taste. The prezzo of the Velos kit is around 90,000 euros, with the possibility of purchasing each individual element individually.
