Ronaldo scored two goals to help Portugal advance in the Nations League

Prague – Gunner Cristiano Ronaldo scored the 134th and 135th goals for the Portuguese national team, which advanced to the quarterfinals of the Nations League after a 5-1 win over Poland. European champions Spain won 2-1 in Denmark, securing first place in Group A4 and promotion.

The match between Romania and Kosovo, which was a direct fight for the first place in Group C2, was interrupted in the setup. The visitors, including Spartans Rrahmani, left the pitch as the home fans chanted “Serbia, Serbia”. The match was 0:0. Now it remains to be seen whether the match will continue.

Porto did not score in the first half, but after the break, the cannonade started. Thirty-nine-year-old Ronaldo scored twice, the first time from the penalty spot, and also scored another assist. In the League of Nations, he scored five times and was at the top of the goalscoring table with Šeška of Slovenia. The Poles suffered a debacle, Marczuk only corrected it to 5:1 in the end.

In the next match of Group A1, Scotland beat Croatia 1-0. The guests lost the expelled Sučič just before the break. Nevertheless, they kept a goalless record for a long time, which would have guaranteed them advancement. In the end, however, the weakened ones did not stop and home McGinn scored the winning goal. The Scots have revived their chances of not being relegated directly to League B. Croatia are second in the group with seven points and continue to hold the promotion position for the quarter-finals.

Spain confirmed the qualities of the European champions in Denmark as well. After the goals of Oyarzabal and Pérez, the match was controlled, in the end Isaksen only reduced it. Spain win Group A4 and advance to the quarter-finals. Denmark will play for promotion in the last match in Serbia. In the end, Serbia saved a 1:1 draw in Switzerland, which is the last.
