“Rosseti Novosibirsk” increased the reliability of power supply to the village of Michurinsky

New power grids were built to replace municipal infrastructure, the technical condition of which no longer met regulatory requirements. In addition, the old lines could no longer withstand the load due to the growing volume of electricity consumption, which is increasing every day due to the use of an increasing number of electrical appliances. All this affected the quality of power supply to local residents – they experienced power surges and even blackouts.

In order to minimize overloads of the power grid in the future, including from unscrupulous consumers exceeding the permitted power and theft of electricity, specialists are now additionally installing about 150 “smart” meters on the new line with a function for monitoring maximum power. If electricity consumption is detected above this value, the device will automatically work and turn off the power supply to such a house in order to prevent possible negative consequences (short circuits, voltage sags and even emergency outages), which could affect all local residents connected from the same power line.

Thanks to the reconstruction carried out by Rosseti Novosibirsk, it was possible to significantly improve the technical characteristics of electrical networks, which will increase the reliability of power supply to the populated area. The supply of electricity will be uninterrupted and meet quality standards, which means that the residents of the Michurinsky village will be provided with comfortable conditions.

This is one of dozens of investment projects implemented by the company in the Novosibirsk region and aimed at improving the quality and reliability of power supply to consumers. In general, during 2024, power engineers plan to commission more than 450 km of power lines and 270 MVA of capacity. The total amount of investment by Rosseti Novosibirsk in the modernization of the region’s power grid complex will exceed 5.5 billion rubles.
