On a total length of power lines of more than 7.5 km, the company’s specialists replaced about 900 insulators. They are designed for hanging and insulating wires on power transmission line supports when laying an overhead line. The insulator is a critical element of the line, performing both fastening and protective functions. The safety of installation and reliability of operation of overhead power lines depends on the correct choice and quality of the dielectric device.
The work of replacing insulators is not only complex, but also requires power engineers to have excellent knowledge of the execution technology and labor safety rules, as well as good physical training, since they are often carried out at a considerable height (on average about 30 meters). The high qualifications of the company’s specialists and the use of special equipment and machinery made it possible to carry out work on power lines in the Barabinsky district quickly and smoothly.
As a result of the repair of the 110 kV overhead line Barabinskaya CHPP – Tebisskaya, the stability of the operation of the line equipment, supply substations, and, accordingly, the reliability of power supply to the nearest settlements and life support facilities in the western part of the region will increase, which is especially important during the long heating season.
In general, in the Novosibirsk region, about 17 thousand isolators have already been updated during 2024 as part of the corresponding target program. Rosseti Novosibirsk allocated more than 25 million rubles for its implementation.
