This year, according to legend, as a result of abnormally low air temperatures and adverse meteorological phenomena (strong gusty wind, snowstorm, icy conditions) in the region, the power grid equipment of a system-forming power grid enterprise was disconnected. Dozens of settlements in the east of the Novosibirsk region were left without power supply, including part of the city of Novosibirsk with a total population of over 35 thousand people, as well as several key infrastructure facilities.
The joint exercises involved 8 operational dispatch services, 8 emergency recovery teams and 8 operational mobile teams from Rosseti Novosibirsk – a total of more than 150 personnel from operational units and over 30 units of equipment.
During the training, the condition of the equipment, the readiness of backup power supply systems, the knowledge of personnel of their functional responsibilities, the work of operational and dispatch personnel and the organization of information exchange, as well as many other aspects were checked.
Following the training, the managers and operational personnel successfully completed the tasks of restoring power supply during the elimination of a simulated accident. At a meeting at the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Novosibirsk Region, the high level of readiness of Rosseti Novosibirsk for the heating season was reflected.
Power engineers of the system-forming electric grid enterprise have once again successfully worked out the skills of eliminating emergency situations at power facilities in conditions of low air temperatures, which means they are fully prepared for work in the winter period.
