The Radio and Television of Montenegro (RTCG) paid the Music Center 11,000 euros for the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra concert that was supposed to be held on September 16, but it is still not known when the jubilee will be organized.

According to the analysis cards, the money was paid to the Music Center on September 10, and the official reason for canceling the jubilee celebration in Cetinje is bad weather conditions, i.e. low temperatures that are not good for musical instruments, i.e. the health of the performers.

Two days after the payment, on September 12, the organizing team of the RTCG informed the public that the announced festive celebration on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the RTCG is being postponed due to the predicted rainfall and low temperatures at which musical instruments cannot function. Director General of RTCG Boris Raonic he did not answer the questions why the jubilee was announced for that particular date, how many dignitaries had confirmed their arrival by September 11, when the celebration would be held, as well as how much money was spent on the dress rehearsal and what the total planned costs of the celebration were. RTCG Day is celebrated on November 27. Radio Montenegro is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year, and Television Montenegro is celebrating its 60th anniversary.

The Music Center told the “News” that the program, which included the performance of the program by the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra, was: Orchestra solo: Montenegrin Anthem, Charpentier: Te Deum, John Williams: Superman March, Stravinsky: Firebird suite 1919 Lullaby and Finale , John Williams: Jurassik Park, Strauss: Danube, Charpentier: Te Deum, European Anthem, Palladio – Karl Jenkins, planned engagement of 80 members of the performing ensemble and production of JU Music Center.

“Due to weather conditions that could not be foreseen during the planning of business cooperation, the aforementioned performance, which was supposed to be held in the atrium of the Government House in Cetinje, was not realized, i.e. it was postponed primarily due to the health of the performers, but also due to the limitations of the instruments that are necessary for the realization of the project. The outside temperature in Cetinje on September 16 in the evening hours was 8-10 degrees, so in accordance with the internal procedures of the JU Music Center of Montenegro, the concert was postponed,” the institution’s reply reads.

When asked on what date and at what time RTCG officially informed the Music Center that the event was cancelled, they said that “the event was officially canceled on September 11 at 5:50 p.m., after it became clear that the thermal conditions were unsatisfactory for the realization of the celebration.”

According to information from the website of Montenegrin Electronic Public Procurement (CEJN), in the second half of August, RTCG announced two simple procurements, namely for the rental of technical support for the 80th anniversary of RTCG “More than media” and event organization services.

On September 9, RTCG signed a contract with the company “BBA – Agregati” worth 30,237.90 euros including value added tax (VAT). A stage with two smaller stages, a podium for the audience, fixed and movable lighting devices, led screens, video processors, sound system with accompanying equipment…

On the same date, a simple procurement contract was signed with the company “Congress Travel” in the amount of 10,428.99 including VAT. The procurement of catering services for 150 people, 100 pieces of electric led candles, 170 pieces of gift graphics – authentic postcards, the procurement of a red carpet and the hiring of a promo team of five people and a waiter was contracted with that company.
