Rumors are getting stronger: Yamaha should bring Razgatlioglu

It has been suggested to Yamaha that they should bring Toprak Razgatlioglu into their lineup.

The arrival of the Pramac team in the structure of the Japanese manufacturer from next season has changed the MotoGP landscape.

The leader of the WSBK championship, Toprak Razgatlioglu, has stated that he wants to change the competition for 2025. According to Neil Hodgson, manager of Alex Lowes, it will be interesting to see if the Turk’s wish will come true.

“I was at the WSBK round at Mizan, so I’m familiar with what’s going on. When you stand trackside and watch Toprak, he’s even more impressive. He dominated that weekend. The other BMW drivers, who are top-notch, weren’t even close to him near.”

“We are all aware that Toprak is a special talent. If I were Yamaha and had four factory bikes, I would turn to Toprak.”

“I’ve heard rumors – and they’re just rumors – you have to back them up with credible sources, and there aren’t any at the moment. There’s a clause in Toprak’s contract with BMW that if he wins the WSBK championship this season, what could he do, and get an offer from the factory MotoGP team, to be able to go.”

“I don’t know whether to believe in such a thing or not.”

“If I were Yamaha, I would want someone special, someone who can make a difference. And that’s Toprak, there’s no doubt about that.”

Razgatlioglu’s desire to move to MotoGP in 2025 may not come true due to a lack of factory bikes on offer.

He tested Yamaha’s MotoGP bike last year, but that wasn’t enough to get them to bring him in right away.

Instead, Razgatlioglu parted ways with Yamaha’s WSBK project and joined BMW.

But he remains an intriguing option for any MotoGP project.
