Drag queen The Vivienne from the British version of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” is dead. The drag star died at the age of 32, the British news agency PA reported, citing the agent. The Vivienne, whose real name is James Lee Williams, won the first season of the British version of the television show.
The news of Vivienne’s death is deeply sad, the show’s team said on the platforms X and Instagram with. “Her talent, humor and dedication to the art of drag were an inspiration.” She will be sorely missed, but her legacy will live on.
The stage name “The Vivienne” was inspired by fashion designer Vivienne Westwood. Williams died over the weekend, according to PR agent Simon Jones. The family was shocked, Jones said in a message on Instagram, in which he also asked for privacy for the relatives.
