RUSSIA expects GDP growth of 3.9 percent this year, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk, who is representing the country at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit being held in Lima.
– At the summit, it was stated that the countries of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation are in a more comfortable position compared to other regions of the world. The pace of GDP growth in the countries of the organization exceeds the world average – Overchuk told reporters.
Let us recall that the President of Russia Vladimir Putin said at the end of October that the labor market in Russia shows positive trends.
Unemployment is still at a record low of 2.4 percent, while unemployment among young people under 25 has fallen to 9 percent, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced at the start of a meeting on economic issues.
– The Russian economy continues to grow, so in January-August GDP grew by 4.2 percent. The GDP of the Russian Federation at the end of the year will be 3.9 percent, which will exceed the world average – said the Russian president at the time.
