German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that Russia produces as much ammunition and weapons in three months as all the countries of the European Union produce in a year. He pointed out that Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin has switched to a full military economy, Spiegel reports.

“Our security is a fragile asset. Germany needs to pick up the pace and invest more in its military capabilities,” the German defense minister added.
