In Russia, for 200 g of butter in a supermarket they pay an average of $2.09. This indicator allows Russia to take eighth place in the top G20 countries with the cheapest butter.

Thus, in Russia the product is cheaper than, for example, in Spain, Austria, France, Canada, China, Denmark, Bulgaria, Japan, etc.

The average price of oil in the countries analyzed was $2.78.

The cheapest butter is sold in stores in India – a pack weighing 200 g costs $1.37 there.

Hungary ($1.76) received silver in this top list, and Portugal ($1.9) received bronze.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade stated that there is no shortage of butter on the shelves of Russian stores, as well as a decrease in demand.

The EkoNiva group of companies previously notified retail chains of a reduction in selling prices for butter.
