A database with samples of the voices of cyber fraudsters will appear in Russia, said the head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Maksut Shadayev. He said this while speaking at the inter-industry conference “Customer Safety Comes First”, transmits Interfax.

“A large package of anti-fraud measures is currently being discussed. Among these measures, for example, it is being discussed that we should form a database of biometric samples of fraudsters,” the minister noted.

According to him, the database will allow telecom operators to terminate a call if the voice of one of the interlocutors matches the biometric sample of the criminal. The analysis will be carried out using artificial intelligence, the interaction of operators with a single database will be prescribed at the legislative level, Shadayev added.

He explained that these measures will be included in the new “big law” aimed at increasing the cybersecurity of Russians.

Previously, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko reportedthat under the auspices of the national project “Data Economy” a unified anti-fraud platform will be created in Russia. The government will develop it jointly with the Bank of Russia. The initiative will ensure interaction between the state and business in the fight against cybercrime. The platform will allow you to identify phishing sites, phones and accounts of scammers, as well as suspicious bank transfers, it says on the government website.

Earlier, Roskomnadzor published statistics on leaks of personal data records of Russians. According to the department, since the beginning of the year, more than 600 million records have appeared on the Internet, and 500 million of them were leaked online.

In early November, the Chairman of the working group of the All-Russian Union of Insurers, Vladimir Novikov, proposed paying up to 5 thousand rubles to Russians affected by leaks. The general limit of insurance coverage for damage from data leaks can be set at 1 billion rubles, depending on the volume of personal data stored by the company, the expert emphasized.
